28 August 2009 Academie van Bouwkunst Amsterdam invited Jeroen Timmer to conduct a workshop for the opening of the academic year. This year's theme is 'Approaching Amsterdam'.

In a workshop titled 'Be like a tourist' students were instructed to travel to a pre-determined point along the border of the city. From there they walked their way back to the Academy at the Waterlooplein. During their journey they had to ask for directions and were obliged to follow those. So their route totally depended on where people directed them. Drawings, photos and stories, collected on the way, were put together in the final presentation.

1- 5 July 2009 Jeroen Timmer will show his graduation works at the Rietveld Graduation show 2009. Included will be a series of drawn village and city maps made in Poland and The Netherlands. Project: "Map of a Place".

Furthermore he will present four visions on aircrafts. Each of them running on a unique alternative source of energy.

Location: Rietveld Academie Amsterdam, designLAB department, Glass Pavillion (behind main building), Fred. Roeskestraat 96, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
