athmosphere>. When the Rietveld Academy introduced a new building on
campus, there were quite some second thoughts about the characteristics.
The old Rietveld building boasts transparency in light, feel and sound.
Something a lot of new buildings tend to lack.
In an attempt to transfer part of this charming karma to the new structure a microphone system was installed in the central hallway of the old, main building. Using the academies intercom system the sounds picked up by the microphones were broadcasted throughout the whole of the new building.
